More June Happenings

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is convening two June workshops to discuss climate-induced migration in Asia and the Pacific, in Geneva on the 9th and in Bangkok on the 16th and 17th.

The RSC's annual Elizabeth Colson lecture will be given by Professor Didier Fassin on the 15th. The theme is "The Vanishing Truth of Refugees."

The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) is holding back-to-back events on the 20th and the 21st. The first will focus on "Humanitarian Partnerships" and will officially launch the most recent issue the Humanitarian Exchange which featured articles on this theme; the second will discuss DFID's response to the Humanitarian Emergency Response Review.

On the 24th, ORAM will host its second lecture series on "Hidden Topics in LGBTI Asylum and Refugee Law"; more information is available here.

As previously noted, the UNHCR/NGO Consultations take place 28-30 June 2011 in Geneva. Here's the agenda. Asylum Access has scheduled a "Refugee Rights Leadership Training" just before the consultations on 24-26 June 2011, also in Geneva.
