- "Participants will consider the specific nature of humanitarian action in urban environments, and will hear about the main system-wide responses to the urban challenge. Expert speakers will present lessons from preparedness, response, recovery and reconstruction activities and participants will have the opportunity to identify improvements in their own organisation and within the humanitarian system as a whole."

- ATHA's aim is "to enhance the capacity of relevant actors operating in the humanitarian context, to strengthen the respect for and knowledge about Humanitarian Action including International Humanitarian Law and Humanitarian Principles, and to create greater awareness and knowledge of the relationship between development cooperation and humanitarian action in emergencies."

- The web site has been revamped to improve navigation and facilitate the location of resources. A new section called the "Humanitarian Space" has been added; this area is for HPN members to post resources, events, and other announcements.
