Source: US DOS
World Refugee Day is commemorated annually on June 20th. This year's theme is "Whoever. Wherever. Whenever. Everyone has the right to seek safety." Read more about it in this document

You can find events and activities to participate in via the main World Refugee Day page, ACNUR's WRD page, and/or follow the live blog and Twitter hashtag to learn about what's happening around the world. One upcoming panel discussion is 'The first High Commissioner was a refugee, why not the next?', on 22 June 2022 in Geneva. See also events taking place in Australia and the UK for their Refugee Weeks.
