UNHCR has published a new edition of the State of the World's Refugees. The focus is "Human Displacement in the New Millennium." A lengthy press release describing the book is available here. The eight chapters cover "Current dynamics of displacement," "Safeguarding asylum," "Addressing refugee security," "Responding to emergencies," "Protracted refugee situations: the search for practical solutions," "Rethinking durable solutions," "Internally displaced persons," and "Looking to the future."
All four previous editions of the State of the World's Refugees biennial report - published between 1993 and 2000 - are available in full-text in the research and evaluation section of the UNHCR web site. The 2006 edition is offered in PDF and HTML formats; maps, photos and statistical annexes are included in the PDF version. Hard copies can be purchased from OUP.
