New Web Sites/Online Tools

Here's a random assortment of web sites, blogs and online resources that I've come across recently:

Blogs:

Aid Buzz [access]
- InterAction's blog.

ISN Blog [access]
- From the International Relations and Security Network (ISN).

Resources:

Aotearoa New Zealand Refugee Research Directory [access]
- Provides access to research and researchers.

INEE Toolkit [access]
- Provides access to a "wide variety of tools to guide humanitarian aid workers, government officials and educationalists working in the field of education in emergencies."

Peace Terms: Glossary of Terms for Conflict Management and Peacebuilding [access]
- Developed by the U.S. Institute of Peace.

Web Sites:

Aid Professionals [access]
- Provided by the World Food Programme (WFP).

Asylum Research Consultancy [access]
- A country of origin information research service. Offers free COI Updates.

Center for Forced Migration Studies [access]
- Based at Northwestern University in Illinois, US.

Climate-induced Migration: Mitigating Risks, Creating Opportunities [access]
- Asian Development Bank project.

Re-Vamped Sites:

African Union [access]
- Now includes a page for the Humanitarian Affairs, Refugees and Displaced Persons Division.

International Association of Refugee Law Judges (IARLJ) [access]
- Cleaner look, with more highlights listed on the home page.

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) [access]
- Re-organized with more visuals; check the resources section for a variety of information pages, including one on "gang-related asylum resources." Archived World Refugee Surveys are tucked away in this section too; seven years' worth are supposed to be available but currently only the last three are.
