Accession update:

Nicaragua is the latest State party to both statelessness conventions, bringing the totals to 78 for the 1954 Convention and 53 for the 1961 Convention.  For an overview on the progress made re. accessions to the statelessness conventions, read this ENS blog post.  An upcoming UN Treaty Event will present another opportunity to encourage States to accede.
