Thematic Focus: Economic Contributions of Refugees/Immigrants in the U.S.

As this recent article in the Migration Information Source pointed out, Mr. Trump's Executive Orders relating to refugees and immigration "mandate sweeping data collection and reporting on immigrants and refugees in ways that seek to underscore societal and economic costs with no countervailing attention to positive effects from immigration." (emphasis added)

In the interest of providing some of that countervailing attention, here are a few stories that focus on the positive contributions of refugees and immigrants:

"The Jobs Americans Do," New York Times Magazine, 23 Feb. 2017 [text]
- Several stories profile the work of immigrants/refugees.
