Thematic Focus: Global Compacts Round-up

GCM news:

Delegates completed their fourth round of negotiations today. The programme of work for this round was laid out in the co-facilitators' letter. Also due to be discussed was a proposal for a capacity-building mechanism. A number of side events were also scheduled. For an overview, see this SDG Knowledge Hub article.

GCR news:

The fourth formal consultation was held 8-10 May 2018; participants discussed draft 2 of the global compact on refugees. Here are opening remarks made by the HC and the AHC, and NGO statements.
