News: 2022 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices

The U.S. Department of State has published the latest edition of the Country Reports on Human Rights Practices. The reports detail human rights violations in 198 countries and territories, "providing factual, objective information based on credible reports of the events that occurred throughout 2022." More info is provided in the Secretary of State's press briefing.

Appendix A provides an extensive description of how the country reports were prepared, what they cover (e.g., the protection of refugees, the status and treatment of IDPs, stateless persons), as well as changes and additions.
