News: Updated Resources

This is a head's up to anyone who consumes information posted on this blog primarily through the email service or via RSS. There are actually a number of other resources here that may be of interest to you besides the regular blog posts. But you have to visit them directly to view them! Since I have updated many of them recently, I thought it would be a good time to provide a reminder list of what else is available to you:

The first thing to know is that I actually manage four separate "blogs":
Forced Migration Current Awareness [daily posts highlighting open access scholarly materials]
Forced Migration FAQ [general intro to forced migration; updated as needed]
Forced Migration Library [monthly posts listing new book titles]
Forced Migration & Open Access [intro to the benefits of open access; updated as needed]

Resources provided via Forced Migration Current Awareness include these introductory research guides & overviews:

The Forced Migration FAQ is generally fairly static; the component that gets updated most often is this list of other forced migration resources.

The Forced Migration Library hosts various pages that list different types of forced migration publications, specifically: book series, journals, legal texts, open access books and reference materials.

The Forced Migration & Open Access site functions mainly as an FAQ, but it too hosts a number of resource pages:
- three of them complement the information provided in the main body of the blog, i.e., a list of diamond/gold open access journals in forced migration, a list of hybrid journals, and a table documenting article processing charges (APCs) for different hybrid journals over time.;
- another page was created as part of study undertaken in 2015 to assess the extent to which Journal of Refugee Studies authors used the green route to provide open access to their articles between 2004-2013;
- following this same line of inquiry, additional pages were then created to document the extent to which authors published in the International Journal of Refugee Law (IJRL), Journal of Refugee Studies (JRS) and Refugee Survey Quarterly (RSQ) provided either hybrid or green access to their articles - these three pages are updated the most regularly.

Finally, this index will direct you to all of the above-listed resources and much more!
