
Convened by Lord Mark Malloch Brown, former Deputy UN Secretary-General, the conference will focus on issues such as the protection of refugees and displaced people; armed conflict and the laws of war; famine and food insecurity; as well as the past, present and future of humanitarian action.
The refugee and displacement panel will consist of Gonzalo Vargas Llosa (UNHCR), Lucy Hovil (International Refugee Rights Initiative), Pia Oberoi (OHCHR), Martin Barber (ex-UNHCR and OCHA) and Jeff Crisp (Refugee Studies Centre and Chatham House).
Attendance is free of charge and lunch will be provided.
