I plan to highlight different reference sources that I come across while compiling the guide that I mentioned in a previous post. For example:
The Practical Guide to Humanitarian Law, by Françoise Bouchet-Saulnier (Rowman & Littlefield, English ed., 2002)
- Written for both practitioners and researchers, this guide is organized alphabetically by the terms and concepts that are relevant to international humanitarian law. Each entry includes a definition and/or background information, cross-references, contact details where relevant, and often, a brief bibliography for more information. The publisher's order page for this title includes a table of contents, sample entries, and reviews.
IRIN interviewed the author as part of its web special on the protection of civilians in armed conflict.
