Round-up: OA Articles Published by Asia-based Authors

Here is a round-up of recent (as of 2020) open access journal articles by authors affiliated with institutions based in certain Asian countries that are not included in my Global South round-ups, but that are similarly less well-represented in my coverage of the OA forced migration research corpus. The countries/regions include Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan.

- Special issue on "Refugees/Migrants and Work and Education." Its aims are: "(1) to address core issues of refugees and migrants in light of ‘the Global Refugee Crisis’ and the Global Compacts and Global Forums on Refugees and Migrants, with a particular focus on education and employment in line with the discussion in the 2019 JAHSS-JASID Conference on the same; and (2) to provide updates and

critically review Japan’s policy and practice for refugee and migrant protection, in particular concerning alternative pathways including the third country resettlement of refugees and new labor migration system, in order to ensure human security of refugees and migrants."
