Young Children in Humanitarian and COVID-19 Crises: Innovations and Lessons from the Global South
 (Routledge, Nov. 2023) [open access]
- "The long-term consequences of COVID-19 have been tough for children around the world, but even more so for young children already in humanitarian crisis, whether due to conflict, natural disasters, or economic and political upheaval. This book investigates how organizations around the world responded to these dual challenges, identifying solutions, and learning opportunities to help to support young children in ongoing and future crises. Drawing on research and voices from the Global South, this book showcases innovations to mobilize new funds and re-allocate existing resources to protect children during the pandemic. It provides important evidence on understudied and overlooked vulnerable populations, recognizing that researchers from the Global South are best positioned to fill these research gaps, contextualize findings, and support the uptake and adoption of recommendations by local decision-makers and practitioners in those same contexts."

News: Climate Mobility Hub Launched

Following on from its recently issued "Principles on Climate Mobility," the Kaldor Centre for International Refugee Law has now launched the Climate Mobility Hub, a digital platform that "amplifies voices of experience and distils decades of research from our scholars, breaking it down into bite-sized pieces. Through beautiful images, short videos, simple explainers and pathways to deeper resources, the Hub is a gateway to greater understanding of this pressing and deeply human concern."

The Hub includes the following sections:
- Facts: "Research-backed answers to basic questions about climate-related mobility."
- Solutions: "Policies that help people stay in place, when that’s their choice, or enable safe ways to move."
- Voices: "Hear from people affected by the impacts of climate change – sharing what this means for their lives, land, identity and rights."

An extensive listing of resources is also provided, with links to books, journal articles, book chapters, commentary and blog posts.
