New Blogs: Australia, Canada, Human Trafficking, Migrant Health, US

Here are a few new blogs that comment on asylum and refugee matters in Australia, Canada, and the U.S., and that raise awareness about migrant health issues and human trafficking.

Asylum & Refugee Law Project [access]
- Student-led research group that aims to "explore and critically analyse Australian refugee law and policy and its human effects."

The Asylumist: Asylum and its Discontents in the United States [access]
- From their about: "[A] forum for discussion about the law, policy, and politics of asylum. We’ll cover issues related to asylees’ mental health, their experience in the asylum system, and their adjustment to life in the United States."

CCR Blog [access]
- From the Canadian Council for Refugees.

ICMHD Blog [access]
- New blog from the International Centre for Migration, Health and Development. The last two posts in August discuss forced displacement and climate change in Pakistan and the forced displacement of the Roma.

UN.GIFT.HUB blog [access]
- From the Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking.

Alternatively, instead of following specific blogs, Wordpress offers a way to follow individual postings relating to forced migration based on their subject tags, e.g., "refugees," "forced-migration," and "internally-displaced-persons." These tags have RSS feeds associated with them, which in turn can be subscribed to just like any other feed.
