If you have not yet published in a migration-related academic journal, how would you know where to start? PRIO has developed a very useful solution to this challenge in the form of its new Guide to Migration Journals.
Here are some key features of the guide in terms of:
- scope: "provides an overview of 29 systematically selected English-language peer-reviewed journals in migration studies";
- quality: "members of the PRIO Migration Centre have published in more than half of the journals on the list and play active roles and editorial board members and reviewers";
- coverage: "includes information about the journals' thematic orientation, open access options, citations, article length, and more."
Personally - and predictably! - I find the section that summarizes the open access status of the journals to be especially helpful!
Comments and suggestions for additional journals are welcome; please email pmc@prio.org.
