The latest edition of Human Rights Watch's annual human rights survey,
World Report 2026: Events of 2025, was launched yesterday (4 Feb. 2026). It provides a summary of the human rights situations in over 100 countries and territories around the world. The press release is
here; the introductory essay is entitled "Will Human Rights Survive a Trumpian World? Authoritarian Advances Threaten Rules-Based Order." A video recording of the press conference launching the report is
also available.
