The latest issue of Forced Migration Review (FMR) has been published. The theme of FMR59 is "Twenty Years of the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement." Here is the description:
"In the 20 years since they were launched, the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement have been of assistance to many States responding to internal displacement, and have been incorporated into many national and regional policies and laws. However, the scale of internal displacement today remains vast, and the impact on those who are displaced is immense. ...In this issue, authors acknowledge the
applications and successes of the Guiding
Principles while reflecting on their limitations,
the challenges to their implementation, their
relevance to contemporary incidences of
internal displacement, future challenges,
and the potential application of new
understandings and new approaches."
The Editors' Briefing provides a more detailed overview of the 19 articles in this issue's featured theme. Seven general articles are also included.
Readers can access FMR articles 1) individually, in HTML & PDF formats (audio will be available eventually), 2) via the digest feature, or 3) as a complete issue. Back issues of FMR are available here.
FMR is an open access publication. It is available online and in print in English, Arabic, French and Spanish. Audio versions of articles are available in English.
