- "Beginning in 2021, the JRS Book Reviews section has been replaced with a broader Reviews section. In addition to reviews of recent scholarly manuscripts, this section also includes reviews of other materials of potential interest to JRS readers, such as films and other digital media, and works of fiction and narrative nonfiction. The section welcomes traditional reviews, as well as contributions that take alternative approaches to analyzing and reflecting on the material being reviewed." - JRS is seeking proposals for special issues that "engage with and significantly advance scholarly debates in the field of refugee and forced migration studies. ...We welcome proposals from researchers from under-represented groups, including those from the Global South. When developing their proposals, we encourage guest editors to consider issues of representation and diversity, including in terms of career stage." The submission deadline is 31 Aug. 2021.
