Revisiting the 1951 Refugee Convention: Exploring Global Perspectives
(Observer Research Foundation & Global Policy Journal, 2022) [full-text]
- "This volume revisits the relevance of the 1951 Convention in today’s world. To mark the significance of this important document, the essays in this compendium analyse various dimensions of the universal refugee protection regime. The volume is divided into three segments—Understanding the Relevance of the 1951 Convention; Refugee Protections and Local Geographies; and the Rohingya: Precarities of a Stateless People—to include perspectives from diverse geographies (South Asia, Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Australia) and various aspects of the global refugee protection framework."

Routledge Handbook on Extraterritorial Human Rights Obligations (Routledge, Dec. 2021) [open access]
- This handbook "brings international scholarship on transnational human rights obligations into a comprehensive and wide-ranging volume. Each chapter combines a thorough analysis of a particular issue area and provides a forward-looking perspective of how extraterritorial human rights obligations (ETOs) might come to be more fully recognized, outlining shortcomings but also best state practices. It builds insights gained from state practice to identify gaps in the literature and points to future avenues of inquiry." Relevant sections include "Nowhere countries: When states use extra-territoriality at home to circumvent legal, human and refugee rights" (chapter 5) and Part III, which focuses on "Migration and Refugee Protection."
