News: UNHCR's Revamped Website

Once again, UNHCR's website has undergone a complete make-over, with both a new look and new organizational structure. I plan on undertaking a much more detailed examination of it to see what features have been added or removed, but for now, I will say that one positive change is the return of a "Latest reports and publications" section. It's complemented by a search function that - finally! - allows you to locate publications across UNHCR country/regional sites (although not all are included yet). You can also narrow results by category (handbooks, reports, news, events), topic, keyword, publication category, and event category.

Not all sections of the site seem to be functioning correctly, though, so perhaps it is still in a soft roll-out phase. Regardless, check it out!

News: Migration Summit 2023

The Migration Summit offers virtual and in-person events throughout April. It is "designed to build bridges between diverse communities of displaced learners, universities, companies, nonprofits and NGOs, social enterprises, foundations, philanthropists, researchers, policymakers and employers around the key challenges and opportunities for refugee and migrant communities." This year's theme is "Co-creating Pathways to Learning, Livelihood, and Dignity."

Last year's summit focused on "Education and Workforce Development in Displacement"; a report highlighting outcomes and offering recommendations is available, along with video recordings of the events.
