The April 6, 2006 edition of the Christian Science Monitor includes a story entitled "Western reporters in Africa struggle over when to help," which discusses the balance journalists try to strike between becoming involved versus remaining objective when covering events in the developing world.
The University for Peace published a textbook in April 2005 for a course on "The Media in Conflict Prevention and Peace Building," which examines the role and influence of the media in situations of conflict and peace.
