A proposal was put forth at a recent Informal Consultative Meeting of the Standing Committee for an "Executive Committee Conclusion on the Protection of Victims of Trafficking Seeking Asylum." Several perspectives on the intersection between human trafficking and refugee/asylum issues are represented in the literature. The following examples highlight some of these viewpoints:
