More on Climate Change

Here are a few additional resources on the humanitarian and displacement implications of climate change:

• The Towards Recognition blog provides a summary of the discussions relating to climate change and forced migration at the Bonn climate change talks that I referenced earlier.

• The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) attended the Bonn meeting and has a web page detailing its work on climate change and displacement.

• CARE has published a report entitled In Search of Shelter: Mapping the Effects of Climate Change on Human Migration and Displacement (May 2009) that offers "empirical evidence from a first-time, multi-continent survey of environmental change and migration."

• ODI sponsored an event in March on the humanitarian aspects of climate change. Audio files of the presentations are available.
