EU Anti-Trafficking Efforts

The Third EU Anti-Trafficking Day was commemorated 18 October 2009. An EU Ministerial Conference took place in Brussels on 19-20 October 2009 to coincide with the day. The theme was "Towards EU Global Action against Trafficking in Human Beings." Here's the programme and list of participants. You can listen to various speeches or read some of the contributions:

Also held was a panel discussion that focused on "A Comprehensive Multidisciplinary Approach towards Trafficking in Human Beings: Active cooperation among countries of origin, transit and destination." Speeches and a final report should be made available in the near future.
