Human Rights Watch has published its annual human rights survey, World Report 2019: Events of 2018. As the Foreword notes, "World Report 2019 is Human Rights Watch’s 29th annual review of human rights
practices around the globe. It summarizes key human rights issues in more than
90 countries and territories worldwide, drawing on events from late 2017 through
November 2018."
The subject of the introductory essay is "World’s Autocrats Face Rising Resistance." The companion web site provides access to other thematic essays and multimedia presentations. Visitors will also find a menu for abridged versions of the report in six other languages.
Readers can download the entire report or browse by individual country. Previous editions of the World Report can be found here.
