Today, the World Refugee Council (WRC) launched a major report entitled A Call to Action: Transforming the Global Refugee System that calls for an overhaul of the way refugees and internally displaced persons are provided protection. It "presents a prescription of concrete actions to protect the interests of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) — particularly the interests of women and children — while helping governments to manage refugee movements. The foundation of the report is the principle that all members of the international community must share the responsibility for supporting refugees and the countries that host them."A summary version of the report is available here.
