As many of you are no doubt aware, ReliefWeb rolled out a Topics feature earlier in the year. "Topics" are thematic pages that bring together not only content from ReliefWeb's collection, like in-depth reports (similar to the "Policy & Issues" section in the old ReliefWeb), the latest media stories, jobs, and training programmes, but also links to external content such as related tweets and videos.
To accomplish the latter, ReliefWeb created topical lists on Twitter and YouTube that collate tweets and videos provided by third parties. ReliefWeb also has its own separate Twitter feed, which it uses to share information about the resources in its collection.
What you may not know is that a "Protection and Human Rights"-focused page was launched in October. One unique aspect of this page is the ability to filter the reports by vulnerable group. So if you just want to view items that relate to refugees and IDPs, you can simply tick the boxes provided to indicate your interest. Other vulnerable groups include "aged persons," "children," "persons with disabilities," and "women." Note, though, that the application of the filter does not change the external content that is displayed on the page or the overall Protection & HR content in the associated RSS feed.
It's great to be able to access so much information via these pages, and all from one central location!
